Lymphatic Work benefits people with Lymphoedema

May Occur Due To:

 

  • Cancer and cancer treatments that involve the removal of lymph nodes
  • filariasis, which is an infestation of the lymph nodes by a parasite carried by mosquitoes
  • some types of  vascular surgery, such as vein stripping
  • burn scar excision
  •  lipectomy,  a type of surgery to remove fat from the body
  • infection or trauma in the lymphatic system
  • health conditions that affect blood flow to the extremities

Lymphatic Drainage

 We know that lymphatic drainage can help speed your healing process but there are many other ways it can improve your life as well. 

Athletic Recovery

 Lymphatic drainage is an often overlooked but tremendously effective way to treat sports injuries and help athletes achieve peak performance. Regular sessions can help improve and increase blood flow, reduce muscle fatigue, raise the pain threshold, increase range of motion, and quickly restore hand grip. In addition, benefits for athletes recovering from injury include a softening of scar tissue and accelerated healing, getting them back on the track, court, or field faster.

Post -Op

 Immediate Post-Operative Period:

  • MLD can commence within 72 hours following surgery, potentially conducted daily during the first week to enhance early recovery .
  • Transition to  2 a week sessions in the second week to continue supporting lymphatic flow and reduce swelling .

MLD

 The cost of lymphatic drainage treatment at Trees will depend on the length of the treatment you require. In general, treatments run between

 $75 and $200 per session. 

Lymphatic Session

 A session length may vary, but the length of a typical treatment is between 30 minutes and one hour

Dry Brushing is done with each session
